We needed to prove that rMQR bands could be handwoven. We did not know anything about weaving, so we started with a simple, low dent count ridig heddle. We acquired some black and white wool and started learning how to backstrap weave bands.
A major error was going with Alpaca Lace thread made of 100% baby alpaca. That was not tightly spun yarn and as such would prove to stretch for weaving QR codes, at least when done by a complete noob to weaving.
